Trail to Winnemucca
This painting is my experience of climbing to Lake Winnemucca near Carson Pass in the Sierra. It captures all the elements of the mountain experience: the granite boulders, evergreen forests, hillsides covered with an amazing variety of wildflowers, the snow almost visibly melting in the summer heat, swelling the creek and creating the cascade in the foreground.
