ARTIST'S STATEMENT

"I am fascinated by the way water cascades across rock, ripples in the wind and shimmers in the sunlight. In my painting I explore surface patterns, reflections and what lies below the surface. I hope viewers of my work are reminded not only of the beauty of water but of its intrinsic value and how important it is to conserve it and keep it healthy for the well being of ourselves and all life."   — Will Noble

Will Noble was born in New Orleans, raised in San Francisco, and has been a resident of Marin County, California for most of his adult life. He had a career as an animator on such projects as John Korty's feature film Twice Upon a Time; and Atari and Electronic Arts arcade games. More recently, he created a personal animation titled Mimi-Ni, an African-inspired creation myth. {Read more about Will's career.)

The paintings shown on this site are a 25-year series of intimate ultra-realistic paintings of mostly water.

Will welcomes visitors to come and see his art in person with no obligation to make a purchase. If interested in buying originals or prints, of course, inquiries are quite welcome.
